Real People Own Real Art, 20x200
I'm a huge fan of accessible art both in the physical and the mental. Obviously there's something to having an original piece that no one else has but there are a millions of 'obviously's' out there. Yet, real people can still get real art. Last year Gallery Hanahou put on a show and all the prints were $12, they were prints and they were small-ish but I came away buying 3 of them. Proud new art owner/collector.
Just came across 20 x 200, a Jen Bekman project.
Basically you can become a low budget collector with all prints starting at $20 (editions of 200@$20, 20@$200, 2@2000). And they add new editions every month.
Check them out at www.20x200.com.
I won't bother naming the artists (painters, photographers, illustrators), the pics speak for themselves.
